The Big A

Since the beginning of mankind people were given choices and with those choices they either triumphed or they failed. It doesn't matter if people are born in a rich family or a poor one, it only matters who you choose to be. I do not believe that a man's path is decided before they are born, but can make his own path like the man in the clip. Before Steve Jobs was born his mother put him up for adoption. Steve Jobs path was decided before he was even born. Also, being cared by drop outs Steve Jobs managed to go to university. Even though Steve Jobs was raised by drop outs he chose to go to university. Now Steve Jobs will be remembered forever as the CEO of Apple and Pixar.

  1. I agree with your point that a person's future is determined by their choices, not fate. I liked your point about Steve Jobs and how he /chose/ to go to university and tried to make his future better. In the end, it worked. Wouldn't you agree that his future would be nowhere near as great if he hadn't received an education?

  2. It's very sad that Steve Jobs past away with his job. But this paragraph has explained a lot about him. I agree with Matthew that people can choose how their life is determined by this: Steve Jobs "chose" to go to University.

  3. In regards to the part of Ms. Lees' question pertaining to the the past, would you say that people have the same number of opportunities today as they did in the past?
